D.A.R.E.
The Florence County Sheriffs Office has proudly taught D.A.R.E to Florence County Students for 35 years. Sheriff Chrisman has been a D.A.R.E instructor for 15 of those years. Sgt. Dan Chiamulera had passed the torch to her 15 years ago. In 2026, the torch will be passed to Deputy Lucas Krueger. We teach D.A.R.E. to our 6th grade students and use it as a culmination event as they leave the Elementary School and move on to the Junior High School. We continue to promote this program as it leads to healthy relationships between our youth and our law enforcement and it educates students to the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
D.A.R.E. is only part of the reason we have such a strong relationship with the Florence County School District.
