Statewide Issuance 

With the new statewide issuance law now in effect, if the vital record you are requesting falls within the dates listed below you can obtain the copies from any Register of Deeds office in the State of Wisconsin

Birth, Death and Marriage records requested prior to the dates listed below can only be obtained from the County in which the event occurred.
Divorce records prior to 1/1/2016 may only be obtained from the State Vital Records Office


Records available for statewide issuance:

Birth Certificates - from 10/1/1907 to present
Death Certificates - from 9/1/2013 to present
Marriage Certificates - 10/1/1907 to present
Divorce Certificates - 1/1/2016 to present
Tribal Marriage or Divorce - 1/1/2016 to present

 ***FOR OFFICE WALK INS: It may take 15 minutes to receive a copy of the requested record in person.

• $20.00 for the first copy 
• $3.00 for each additional copy per order

NOTE : The cost of the above vital records are for both certified and uncertified copies. Requesters must provide identification and demonstrate direct and tangible interest to receive certified copies.
