Florence County Courthouse will be closed the following holidays:

New Years Day
Presidents' Day
Friday before Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year's Eve

If any of the above mentioned holidays falls on Saturday, it shall be observed the preceding Friday and if a holiday falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.

Water Monitoring Data

Water monitoring efforts have been in effect since 2009 in Florence County. A lake is monitored for temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH and recently added in 2020, total dissolved solids, salinity, and nitrate. In 2020, 49 lakes were selected for monitoring. The data from these lakes was compared with the data from 5 previous years (if recorded). Various lakes have been recorded as monitoring priorities and invasive species scenarios have changed through the years, data may be available by request. The Citizen Lake Monitoring Network may also be a source of information for lake monitoring data. Florence county residents are encouraged to participate in the CLMN as a way to monitor changes in lakes.
