If any of the above mentioned holidays falls on Saturday, it shall be observed the preceding Friday and if a holiday falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.

Open 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

This site is for large recyclable materials and furniture disposal only.
  • Bags of garbage and solid waste will not be accepted. Bags should be placed at the curbside with a sticker for weekly garbage pickup.
  • Construction and demolition debris will also be refused. This material must be disposed of in a demolition waste landfill.

Residents from Florence, Commonwealth, Aurora and Homestead are welcome to bring the listed materials.
Clean Oil ¨ Metal ¨ Compost ¨  Dried Empty Paint Cans & Lids ¨ Batteries

There is a charge for the following items.
Refrigerator/Freezers, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Microwaves ($10.00 each) 
Car & Light Truck Tires ($6.00 each without rim, $8.00 each with rim)
Mattresses ($20.00 each)

Computer CRT's and Monitors and all other computer components and electronic e-waste $1.00 lb.

All other appliances are accepted at no cost. The charge for Semi Tires and Tractor Tires will vary, call the Recycling Office at 528-3206 for price. Leave your waste tires with your dealer when buying new.

Furniture is a township responsibility. Residents of Florence & Commonwealth may dispose of furniture at the Florence Material Drop-Off Site on open dates. Aurora will use the green box, contact Aurora Town Board for the dates. Homestead use your weekly site.

HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITIES: Brown County and Oneida County have locations to bring your hazardous waste under self pay.
