Cost Share

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) provides counties with funding to implement projects to promote soil and water quality through a variety of practices. Land Conservation staff can provide technical designs and funding towards the implementation of these practices.

This program works with farmers, minicipalitites, and private landowners on a variety of practices including stream crossings, shoreland stabilization, habitat restoration, agricultural practices, and many more.

Eligible projects may receive cost-sharing of 50% up to 70% towards the installation of approved conservation practices. Florence County is only awarded a limited amount of funding each year, so there may be situations where the project cannot be installed immediately so be sure to plan ahead.
