Florence County Courthouse will be closed the following holidays:
New Years Day
Presidents' Day
Friday before Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year's Eve
If any of the above mentioned holidays falls on Saturday, it shall be observed the preceding Friday and if a holiday falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.

Florence County is rich in surface water resources with a total of 261 lakes and 165 streams, which equates to 8,470.0 acres. In an effort to better understand individual lake systems various lakes have been monitored since 2009 by the Florence County Land Conservation Department Water Monitoring.
