Florence County Courthouse will be closed the following holidays:
New Years Day
Presidents' Day
Friday before Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Year's Eve
If any of the above mentioned holidays falls on Saturday, it shall be observed the preceding Friday and if a holiday falls on Sunday, it shall be observed on the following Monday.

A Land and Water Resource Management Plan was developed for Florence County through the cooperation of additional departments, agencies, organizations and individuals. As directed in Wisconsin Chapter 92, these county plans are required to focus available resources on:- conserving long-term soil productivity
- protecting the quality of related natural resources
- enhancing water quality
- addressing severe soil erosion problems
