General Information Nutrition Program Adequate nutrition plays an important part in maintaining a good health. Our nutrition program offers a varied menu each month, provides a well-balanced meal, and ensures that 1/3 of the USDA recommended daily requirements are contained in each meal served. We offer both a congregate meal setting and home delivery program. Home-Delivered Meals: Home-delivered meals may be available for people if you are: 60 years of age or older, for the most part homebound, and unable to safely prepare meals on your own Unable to go to a dining site The spouse of someone who is eligible for meals Adult living with a disability who lives with an eligible person who is receiving meals Live in the service delivery area. If eligible, meals can be ordered on a temporary basis, if you are homebound due to recovery from an illness or surgery or on a long-term basis, so that you can remain independent and in your home. Meals are available on a donation basis for eligible participants. The suggested donation is $4.00 per meal. If you are eligible for the meals but can't afford the suggested donation you will not be denied participation in the program. Congregate Meals We serve ready-to-eat meals to seniors age 60 and over at four different locations in Florence County. Congregate sites offer good nutrition, educational information, activities, and socialization. The suggested donation is $4.00 per meal.  Reservations are necessary.
