Emergency Management in Florence County operates as a division of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and is performed under the oversight of one State Agency and three County agencies. They are Wisconsin Emergency Management, part of the Department of Military Affairs, the Florence County Board of Supervisors, the Florence County Personnel, Law Enforcement and Emergency Management Committee and the Florence County Local Emergency Planning Committee. Each of these agencies provides input and guidance for the development of our emergency management programs. Florence County Emergency Management operates under the authority of Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 323.
